Project with SRK neither titled 'The Ring' nor 'Rehnuma': Imtiaz
The Cocktail director has clarified that the project is yet to be named
(Web Desk) – Imtiaz Ali of Tamasha and Love Aaj Kal fame has clarified that his upcoming film with Shahrukh Khan is neither titled ‘The Ring’ nor ‘Rehnuma’.
Shahrukh was recently shooting with Anushka Sharma in Czech Republic for Imtiaz Ali’s film which then was being referred to by media as ‘The Ring’.

However, the Cocktail director has clarified that the project is yet to be named.
In an interview with indianexpress.com, Imtiaz said: “Theatre is my origin. I have spent so much time there and I feel mentally, I am still there. I never disconnected from the theatre and might have accidentally learnt from it. So, this is a natural place for me to be in.”
Tamasha was reported by some film personalities as the director’s ode to his love for theatre medium.
He said that he for sure has plans to direct plays. “I don’t know if I will go back to Delhi theatre but I do have plans to do plays in my life. I don’t think I will not do any theatrical activity. I will definitely do something. I don’t know when that will happen, though. It might happen a few years later or maybe 20 years later,” he said.
In a previous statement, Imtiaz Ali shared what he had in common with Shahrukh Khan which made in-grounds for the two to work on a project. He said that the two bonded over theatre in the capital, New Delhi as SRK as well trained as an actor under mentorship of Barry John, founder of Theatre Action Group.
