Shabnam remembers her 35-year career in Pakistani films
The actress came from Bangladesh to attend Karachi Literature Festival
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The stage was set in a private hotel of the Sindh provincial capital where attendees were anxiously waiting for the renowned film actress Shabnam. She was to attend the session ‘Phool aur Shabnam’ on Saturday in the Karachi Literature Festival.
A traffic jam delayed her arrival at the venue, however, Bushra Ansari spread her magic and entertained the audience with her interesting discussion.
Before Shabnam’s arrival, a documentary was showcased featuring all movies done by the actress in Pakistan who originally belongs from Dhaka. The hall echoed with claps when Shabnam made her entry while the attendees stood up on their seats.
The audience welcomed her and she exclaimed with joy that a lot has changed in Karachi. Shabnam also shed a tear or two while missing her husband – popular singer Robin Gosh.
“I’ve worked for 35 years in Pakistani films. With many memories from working here and I have been frequently visiting the country and will continue to do so”, she said.
