Miss United States, Alexandria Mills, was crowned Miss World 2010 on Saturday at a glittering ceremony in southern China.The 18-year-old blonde from Louisville, Kentucky, who has been described as soft spoken, finished ahead of runner up Emma Wareus from Botswana and Adriana Vasini of Venezuela who finished third. Mills shed tears upon hearing she had won and will take over the throne from 2009's Miss World winner Kaiane Aldorino of Gibraltar. Mills is a model and is represented by Elite Models agency and has recently graduated from high school. According to her website, she hopes to become a teacher. Women from more than 100 nations competed in the 60th occasion of the annual beauty contest.
