Lahore chosen as venue for Pakistan Super League final
Re-drafting would be carried out in case of refusal to play final in Lahore by international players
DUBAI (Dunya News) - Administrators and organizers on Monday have chosen Lahore as a venue for mega event Pakistan Super League (PSL) final.
During a meeting in Dubai, the participants including team owners have decided to organize the event in Pakistan on March 7, 2017 even if international cricketers are unwilling to play.
"Among various administrative and event discussions, all the team owners took time to reinforce their solidarity and conviction with the decision of taking the Final of the PSL back to its rightful home, the Gaddafi Cricket Stadium, Lahore, also the head office of both the Pakistan Cricket Board and the PSL," press release of the cricket board stated.
However, re-drafting of the players would be carried out in case of refusal from foreign players to travel to Lahore. A list of all those who agree to play in Lahore will be prepared and then given to the finalist teams who will pick the players.
Meanwhile, Chairman Najam Sethi has invited Prime Minsiter (PM) Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and ministers of all the provinces to come and watch PSL final.

Punjab Home Department has also been informed about the decision after which security plan will be prepared in three days. It was also decided that presidential-level security would be provided to all the participating players.
The recent wave of terrorist attacks have raised many questions over the security of players for PSL final in Lahore as one of the incident took place at Lahore’s Mall Road that killed 14 people and left several injured.
