Badar Alam lso accused that they were called blackmailers during the hearing

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The counsel of cricketer Khalid Latif, who has been suspended by PCB in PSL spot-fixing case, accused Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) of misbehaviour while the PCB tribunal hears his case in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) spot-fixing scandal, reported Dunya News.

Badar Alam, the lawyer of Khalid Latif in PSL spot-fixing case, also accused that they were portrayed as blackmailers during the hearing.

"The PCB counsel has even called our arguments as blackmailing - they have tried to portray us as blackmailers."

He maintained that their application presented to the tribunal was also not accepted.

Khalid Latif s lawyer claimed that  that in a video presented to the tribunal, it is clearly evident that Nasir Jamshed offered a number of times to Khalif Latif which he refused.

The counsel of Khalid Latif professed that how come someone be indulged in spot-fixing if he hadn’t even played a single match.

Badar Alam also revealed that we should be informed as to who constituted PCB’s disciplinary penal and who is the chairman.

He let it be known that Khalid Latif was investigated on the same date when he was contacted by the bookie.

The PSL spot-fixing scandal unfolded in February 2017 and saw several players being charge-sheeted or suspended over their alleged links to bookies.
