BIHAR (Web Desk) - The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India took stern action as an inhuman video went viral on social media.

In the disturbing video, policemen were seen throwing the remains of a dead man from a bridge into a canal.

The man had a road accident and his body parts were thrown in the canal by the police of Bihar. The NHRC issued a notice to Bihar government while terming the act as a violation of human rights.

The NHRC said that human rights must be respected even after a person's death.

“The police personnel involved in the incident acted in an uncivilised manner and they disregarded the basic human values,” said the commission.

A notice was also sent to the Director General of Police in Bihar seeking report within four weeks.
