US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar submits resolution against India
WASHINGTON (Dunya News) - US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has submitted a resolution in the House of Representatives condemning human rights and religious freedom violations in India.
The resolution supported by Lawmaker Rashida Tlaib and other members demanded to designate India as a “country of particular concern”.
“The Indian government escalated its promotion and enforcement of policies including those promoting a Hindu-nationalist agenda that negatively affect Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Dalits, and other religious minorities. The United States of America should condemn all the violations,” the resolution stated.
