Syed Ali Gilani condemns killing of civilian in fake encounter

The APHC leader rejected the police version of snatching the weapon by the victim.

SRINAGAR (Web Desk) - The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has strongly denounced the killing of a civilian, Sajjad Ahmad Malik, by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Duroo area of Occupied Kashmir ’s Islamabad district, the Kashmir Media Service reported on Saturday. 

The APHC Chairman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian forces had let loose the spree of blood-shed as they were encouraged by Delhi Darbar and its local faces, turning the entire occupied territory into a police state.

He rejected the police version of snatching the weapon by the victim and said that such dramas were being enacted in hleld Kashmir for the last 30 years.

Syed Ali Gilani said, Indian police arrest people from their houses in broad day light or in the dead of the night in presence of their families, then torture them to death and throw their bodies on roadsides and hush up these incidents in the much used rather abused parroting of police encounters.

He pointed out that these brutal acts have been stage-managed for decades in the territory and the perpetrators and killers are still roaming free.

Meanwhile, the APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly denounced the puppet authorities for keeping Syed Ali Gilani under continued house arrest and disallowing him to offer Juma prayers. He said that stopping an individual from performing his or her religious obligations was gross violation of human rights and interference in the personal and religious rights.

He stated that the local administration was inching towards fulfillment of the long cherished goal of RSS for their petty interests and personal gains.
