India on Monday successfully test fired the Astra air-to-air missile from its Integrated Test Range off the Orissa coast. Another Astra missile is scheduled to be tested today. The beyond visual range air-to-air missile was tested at the Chandipur test range at about 9.45am. The test was a success, S.P. Dash, director of the ITR, told media. Another Astra missile is scheduled to be tested from the same test range later in the day, he added.
