Indian governor resigns over sex scandal

The Governor of the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, N.D. Tiwari, resigned after getting involved in an alleged sex scandal, said official sources of the Congress party. Tiwari, resigned mentioning health reasons, but a local TV channel aired footage supposedly of the Congress party leader with some women in compromising position. However, the office of Tewari has rejected the footage as fictitious. The ruling Congress party has welcomed his resignation
