The Lego model was valued by the museum at 50,000 US dollars, and stands 22-feet-long (6.7 meters).

British Lego artist Ed Diment has successfully completed one of the great challenges of his career - creating a 550 pound (249 kilograms) model of the retired US aircraft carrier the USS Intrepid which was displayed at Sea-Air-Space Museum, New York.39-years-old Diment has built many complex Lego ships in the past, and wanted to take on the challenge of building an aircraft carrier - the largest warship ever to have navigated the oceans. USS Intrepid model took Diment almost one year and thousands of hours of work to complete.“We decided to build it in a sort of World War II color scheme and with World War II aircrafts just to create something a bit different from whats already here, said Diment.
