(Web Desk) - TikTok, in partnership with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has launched the #DigitalHifazat contest to promote digital safety awareness among the country's youth.

This contest encourages TikTok creators to make short, impactful videos focusing on six key topics: responsible social media use, combating online harassment, preventing online fraud, ensuring the safety and well-being of young people, understanding TikTok’s safety features and addressing misinformation on social media.

The #DigitalHifazat contest aims to motivate TikTok users to advocate for digital safety and cultivate a culture of information verification before sharing.

Participants aged 13 and older are invited to take part in the contest, where they can contribute to educating others about responsible online behavior and enhancing the overall safety of the digital landscape. The #DigitalHifazat contest is part of TikTok’s broader initiative to maintain a secure and positive environment for its global users.

TikTok, a platform for short-form videos, is dedicated to user safety, ensuring that content aligns with its Community Guidelines to address issues like online harassment, fraud, threats to youth safety and misinformation.

Creators can enter the contest by posting videos with the hashtag #DigitalHifazat and tagging @ptaofficialpk. Submissions must be made via a form on the contest’s official hashtag page on TikTok, which is available in both English and Urdu.

Participants can find the page by searching for the #DigitalHifazat hashtag on the app. Winning entries will be chosen based on content quality, relevance and adherence to TikTok’s Community Guidelines.

Results will be announced on the official hashtag page with the winner receiving an Apple iPad Air and two runners-up winning Samsung smartphones.

This collaboration between TikTok and the PTA highlights their mutual commitment to improving digital literacy and safety in Pakistan, providing a platform for the youth and digital enthusiasts to voice their thoughts on important digital topics and build a more informed and responsible online community.
