Nearly after two years of delay Google unveils Chrome book.

Google wrapped off touts of its Chrome operating system as an alternative to Microsoft Windows.Google announced that Chrome books will be manufactured by Samsung and Acer. They start at $399 for the cheapest one. New 11.6-inch Chromebook from Acer at Google I/O promises an eight second boot time with an Intel Atom N570 CPU, 16GB SDD, instant-on, two USB ports, webcam, HDMI and 6.5 hour battery life. As with Android, Chrome software will be free, but is expected to spur people to use the Internet more often.The growing popularity of tablets has raised questions about how interested consumers will be buying Google-powered laptops specifically tailored for web surfing. In an effort to get people to use Chromebooks, Google is offering three-year subscription plans to businesses and schools.Samsung and Acer laptops using Chrome OS will go on sale June 15.
