The social media giant is currently testing the feature before making it live

(Web Desk) – The social networking app Facebook is currently testing a new feature of ‘dislike’ button for the messenger. The feature is all set to be launched in view of a high demand from Facebook users.

The social media giant has given the option of ‘dislike’ button to a small set of people currently. After the successful trial, this feature along with Facebook reactions will be made live for all users in the messenger app.

It has been about one year since Facebook launched ‘reactions’ in posts which was restricted to just ‘like’ before. Both the Facebook features of ‘emojis’ and ‘reactions’ have gained popularity.

Facebook had refrained from launching the dislike button earlier in fear of bullying. The company itself wants to know how these features are used in individual and group chats.

Most users have liked using emojis and reaction while they surf their newsfeeds. Out of all the reactions, ‘love’ has been most widely used by people in the past year.
