Hockey: France beats Pakistan in quadrangular tournament

France beat Pakistan by 4-2 in the opening game of the quadrangular hockey tournament in Dublin.

Pakistan was hoping for an easy win as they were up against a weak French side in the opening match of the tournament. In the match, France thrashed the Pakistani side led by Muhammad Imran. France was up by two goals by the end of the first half. In the second half Pakistan and France scored two goals each to bring the score to 4-2 at full time. Pakistan will now face China in their second match on June 22 while they would play their third match against Ireland on June 24. The final of the tournament as well as the play off for third and fourth position will be played on June 25.
