French Open: Sania faces defeat in women's doubles final

Sania missed an opportunity to win a second grand slam title after losing the women's doubles final.

In the second Grand Slam of the tennis season, Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina lost to the unseeded Czech pair of Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka in the womens doubles final in the French open. The Indo-Russian pair lost 4-6 3-6 in a match that lasted one hour and 21 minutes at Court Suzanne Lenglen. Sania first won her Grand Slam title in the Australian Open in 2009 along with fellow compatriot Mahesh Bhupathi.
