"Never forget the important things in life.": Paul Pogba

MECCA (Web Desk) - The Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba posted pictures of himself in mecca to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan.

The 26-year-old embarked on a pilgrimage to Islam s holiest city in Saudi Arabia following the end of the football season.

In an Instagram post that has been liked by more than 1.3 million times, Pogba posted pictures of himself and friends, including fellow Premier League player Kurt Zouma, standing in front of the Kaaba at the Grand Mosque, the holiest site of Islam, with the message: "Never forget the important things in life."

It is not the Frenchman s first visit, having made the trip at the end of the last two seasons as well.

The Frenchman jetted into Saudi Arabia following his club commitments with Manchester United with the conclusion of the 2018/19 Premier League season last Sunday.

United suffered an embarrassing 2-0 home defeat to relegated Cardiff City in their final match to finish sixth in the league table to miss out on Champions League football next season.

Instead United will compete in the second tier Europa League, a tournament Pogba helped United win in 2017.
