The former world No.1 dropped just 3 games as he eased past 2014 US Open champion in straight sets

ACAPULCO (Web Desk) - Former World No.1, 14-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal reached the final of the Abierto Mexicano Telcel tournament in Acapulco, as he defeated Marin Cilic in straight sets.

It was fifth meeting between Nadal and Cilic, as the Spaniard led the head to head record 3-1 and Cilic had won the first meeting, before losing the next three matches.

Once again Nadal was in impressive form as he gave the Croatian no chance and booked his place in the final in just 1 hour and 24 minutes. This is his 103th ATP tournament final.

Nadal will be looking for his 70th ATP title of the career and first of this season. He will face the winner of Australia s Nick Kyrgios or USA s Sam Querrey to win his first ATP title since Barcelona last year.
