Ex-MNA Marvi Memon has moved a writ petition in SC over delay in census.

According to the petition, every member of the UN is bound to arrange census after every 10 years. The Constitution of Pakistan has also declared it compulsory after every 10 years, the petitioner said.She argued that last census was held in 1998 when the production ratio was upped by 2.3.Census is compulsory to determine seats in the parliament and setting the NFC Award for other provinces.At the end, the petitioner prayed to the court that the constitution is being violated; therefore the Chief Justice should take notice of the issue and order arrangement of census
