ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have extended felicitations to the nation following the successful launch of Pakistan’s second indigenous Electro-Optical satellite, EO-2.
In a statement, President Zardari commended the scientists, engineers, and researchers of SUPARCO for their preparation and successful launch of EO-2.
He also expressed gratitude to the government and institutions of China for their support, highlighting the growing strategic partnership between Pakistan and China in space science and technology.

PM Shehbaz praised the efforts of the scientific and research teams behind EO-2.
He noted that the satellite will provide important data and imagery to support climate monitoring and urban planning across the country.
The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission successfully launched EO-2 from the Yangjiang Seashore Launch Centre, China, marking another milestone in the nation’s space capabilities.
