Pakistan Army has been called in to assist with relief efforts. Near Alipur Chatha and Rasul Nagar, local citizens filled the breach in the river embankment through self-help. The risk of high flooding has also increased at Chenab Nagar, where floodwater has entered the area.
Residents of low-lying areas have been instructed to move to safe places. In Kacha Garna, Pindi Bhattian, over 200 homes have been washed away.
