China praises Pakistan Army's role in national stability, bilateral friendship

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Chinese Foreign Ministry released a statement following a crucial meeting between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in Islamabad.

According to the Ministry, Wang Yi said that the Pakistani military is a pillar of national stability and a strong protector of Pak-China friendship and cooperation.

Wang Yi emphasized that the Pakistani military has always supported the implementation of key agreements reached between the leadership of both countries. Strengthening Pak-China relations amid global uncertainties is highly beneficial for regional peace and stability.

He added that China has consistently prioritized Pakistan in its neighborly diplomacy. Despite challenging times, Pak-China relations have grown stronger, establishing a robust traditional friendship.

Wang Yi also stated that China will continue to fully cooperate in protecting Pakistan’s territorial integrity and national security and welcomed Pakistan’s significant role in global affairs.

According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that China is Pakistan’s “iron friend,” and both countries have always shared each other’s joys and sorrows. The Pak-China strategic partnership is as solid as a rock.

He added that maintaining friendly relations with China is the unanimous stance of the Pakistani nation.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir expressed gratitude to China’s leadership for its valuable support in Pakistan’s economic and social development. He affirmed that the Pakistani military is ready to actively promote counter-terrorism and security cooperation, ensuring the protection of Chinese personnel, projects, and institutions in Pakistan.

Efforts to further strengthen Pak-China friendship and continue the path of development will be maintained.
