No democracy, no judiciary, media: PM Gilani

PM Gilani says if there is no democracy, there would be no judiciary and media in the country.

Nawaz Sharif may impose allegation of corruption but he must keep in mind that he cannot come to power. Unannounced loadshedding would be overcome this year, he said.While talking to the media, he said that we would like to have ties with the US according to the will of people and parliament would take decision while in keeping view the interests of common people, he said. He said that no war can be fought without support of the masses.He suggested that independent, strong and peaceful Afghanistan is in the interest of Pakistan while there is no change in our stance regarding Kashmir.He contended that solution to all the problems lies in dialogue. He said the parties which are being formed overnight, they have no future. The parties which have no ideology, they have nothing to serve the people.Replying a query, he said that unannounced loadshedding of electricity would be overcome within one year, adding that all the resources would be utilized to overcome power crisis.He said if projects launched in the era of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had not been closed, the situation of Pakistan would have been different.He advocated that 80% work on PPP manifesto has been completed while they would bring new manifesto for welfare of the people in next tenure.He assured that the PPP would continue its journey of democracy along with its party workers.He said that oversees Pakistanis are doing well for the country by foreign exchange. Oversees Pakistanis would be awarded the right of vote.Addressing at mass wedding of 50 couples, the prime minister said that previous governments ignored masses issues but the PPP government started projects for people’s welfare. He said the PPP government would continue to help the poor people of the country with welfare projects.The mass wedding was arranged by Ameer Begum Welfare Trust at the Expo Centre in Lahore. It was attended among others by Governor Latif Khosa was shown by national TVs napping during the ceremony.The PM also highlighted the projects he said the government had started for the welfare of the youth.The current PPP government has introduced unprecedented price hike, while proces of gas and oil were raised only the other day in contrary to the PMs tall claims.
