The Government has increased petroleum prices effective from tomorrow. According to the summary forwarded to the Prime Minister for approval by the ministry of petroleum earlier today, increase in price of motor gasoline by Rs 5.92, Hi-Octane Rs 8.50, Diesel Rs 6.94 and Kerosene oil by Rs 7.48 was recommended. Earlier, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Petroleum Dr. Asim Hussain while talking to media said that the price of natural gas for the domestic users has been decreased by 2 percent but the prices will go up for the fertilizer industry. The CNG and commercial gas prices, however, are maintained. Dr. Asim said that the consumers will have to pay for the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project.
