KARACHI (Dunya News) - Karachi’s local court has reserved the judgment on the bail plea of Sarim Burney against a case of child trafficking and forged documentation.

The hearing was held on Sarim Burney’s bail plea in a case against him today.

During the hearing, Sarim Burney’s lawyer informed the court that his client was arrested at Karachi Airport on his return from the USA.

Lawyer contended that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was opting for delay tactics in the trial.

The investigation officer hadn’t submitted the case challan despite the passage of five months, he added. Defence lawyer disclosed that the children who were alleged to be trafficked had been living in Karachi.

The defence lawyer requested the court to acquit Sarim Burney as he was deserving to be freed.

Consequently, the court reserved the verdict on the bail plea of Sarim Burney in the child trafficking and forged documentation case.
