Sheikh Waqas Akram was appointed as party's Central Information Secretary
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday announced a major reshuffle, replacing Raoof Hasan with Sheikh Waqas Akram as the party's Central Information Secretary.
The move comes as part of a broader organisational overhaul. PTI Chairman, Barrister Gohar, issued official notification to this effect.
Hasan, previously holding the information post, was appointed to lead PTI's policy think tank.
Akram was one of the 10 arrested MNAs of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf from the parliament premises. Other detained PTI members were Zain Qureshi, Sher Afzal Marwat, Malik Owais Jhakar, Malik Amir Dogar, Ahmad Chatha, Zubair Khan Wazir, Syed Ahmad Ali Shah, Syed Naseem Ali Shah, and Yousaf Khan.
