KP CM defends Afghan diplomat's disrespect for national anthem
Pakistan
Says all issues of the people of KP will be resolved hassle-free through portal
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – A day after the Afghan consul general’s lack of respect of national anthem of Pakistan in a ceremony of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government received scathing criticism from all political parties and public in general on electronic and social media, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur came to the fore in defence of the Afghan consul general.
Speaking at the launch of “Iktiyar Awam Ka” portal, Gandapur said the Afghan consul general didn’t stand up during the national anthem due to the background music.
Speaking about the portal, he said all issues of the people of KP would be resolved hassle-free, adding that amount collected from the public in the form of taxes would now be spent on them fairly and squarely.
He also highlighted the lacunae of the system by saying that loopholes caused by illegal appointments would now be removed through the portal.
He lambasted KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi for being given the slot of governor against merit, adding that Lahore gathering would take place whatever TikTok Punjab CM and KP governor might say.
