VCs, chairmen, executives of universities receive Academic Excellence Award

Acting Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan gave away the awards
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Vice Chancellors (VCs), chairmen and executives of various public and private universities were honoured with the Academic Excellence Award 2024 on Friday for their outstanding performance in the field of education.
Acting Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan gave away the awards at a ceremony held at the Governor House.
Sohail Afzal, Executive Director of UCP and Punjab Group of Colleges, was given the Academic Excellence Award 2024 and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Khan said the universities were playing a key role in the development of the country. He said: "We need to produce educated people with good character and private universities are playing an important role in this regard."
Lahore College for Women University VC Prof Dr Shagufta Naz, Punjab University VC Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, University of Agriculture Faisalabad VC Prof D Iqrar Ahmad Khan, University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila VC Prof Dr Qaiseruzzaman Khan also bagged the Academic Excellence Award.
Khawaja Farid University of Engineering and Information Technology VC Prof Dr Shahzad Murtaza, Government College Women University Sialkot VC Prof Dr Zareen Fatima, and Fatima Jinnah Women University VC Prof Dr Uzaira Rafiq also got the awards.
The other recipients of award were Prof Dr Samira Rehman, Owais Rauf, Dr Asif Raza, and Prof Dr Muhammad Mansoor Ahmed.
