First PIA flight carrying 205 students stuck in Bishkek reaches Karachi

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The first Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-6260 carrying 205 students from Bishkek stuck in Kyrgyzstan reached Karachi on Thursday.

On this occasion, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and others welcomed the students on their return. Families of students were also present in large numbers at Karachi Airport.

PIA is also operating special flights to bring back students stuck in Kyrgyzstan to Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Multan in phases.

It should be noted that Pakistani students have returned home through several flights from Bishkek. Speaking to the media at the airport on this occasion, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said the provincial government was in constant contact with Kyrgyzstan government regarding return of the students.

Travel arrangements from Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan were made by the provincial government. He thanked Allah for safe return of the students. 205 students have returned, including 55 girls and 150 boys.

Ninety-nine students belong to Karachi and rest of the students belong to other districts of the Sindh. The students thanked Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah for taking immediate steps to bring them back to home.
