Talking to media, he said the first session of the new assembly is reserved for oath taking
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Assembly Speaker Sibtain Khan said on Friday that today’s session was exclusively for oath-taking of newly-elected members.
Speaking to Dunya News, he said the first session of the new assembly was reserved for oath taking and there would be no other activity.
He, however, said he would not announce schedule for the election of speaker and deputy speaker as the house was not complete yet.
The house would be complete when the Election Commission would name the reserved seats for women and minority members, he added.
The speaker and the deputy speaker would be elected after the house was complete, Speaker Khan concluded.
