Javed Latif says anti-state elements can’t be popular and allowed to contest
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader Javed Latif says the PTI founder and his party are still enjoying backing.
Speaking to the media, Latif said the PTI wreaked havoc on Pakistan, was involved in contempt of the Election Commission, and conducted violent attacks at state installations but the ECP had not taken any notice.
Still, he said, the PTI founder and his party were being provided a level playing field. He criticised the PTI founder and said anti-state elements can’t be popular and allowed to contest.
Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by global powers and he was convicted in many cases. His leader's conviction led to a crisis in Pakistan, said Latif.
Talking about the Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's case, Latif stated that this reference would set an example of justice in future.
He also announced seat adjustments in the upcoming general elections. The PML-N had no plan for seat adjustment with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), he said. There shouldn’t be any seat adjustment in Punjab, he added.
