WADH (Web Desk) - A hand grenade exploded in Zarchain area of Balochistan’s Wadh city on Tuesday, leaving a child dead and eight others wounded.

Police said some children from a seminary were playing with the hand grenade when it exploded.

The injured were immediately transported to a local hospital in Wadh. Police and law-enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and launched detailed investigation.

This is not the first incident of its nature. Several incidents involving oblivious children faced consequences in recent times.

In one such incident last month, nine people, four children among them, lost their lives while a woman was injured when a rocket launcher’s part exploded in a house in Sindh’s Kashmore district.

A man was killed in a grenade blast near Chaman when he found the hand grenade and started playing with it in April last. Just two days before that three children were killed in an explosion in a compound in the same region while playing with an object.
