ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – An accountability court in Islamabad on Tuesday reserved its ruling on assets beyond means reference against former finance minister Ishaq Dar.
The accountability court of Islamabad held hearing on a reference against Ishaq Dar for possessing assets beyond his know sources of income. The NAB prosecutor and Dar’s counsel Qazi Misbah appeared before the court and advanced final arguments.
Upon completion of arguments, the court reserved its judgement on the reference. Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir will announce his ruling on Oct 21.
Earlier, the court had consigned the reference to the record.

Earlier, a citizen had filed a review petition against the Supreme Court's (SC) decision to void amendments to the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) 1999. Petitioner Abdul Jabbar, through his counsel, senior lawyer and PPP Senator Farooq H Naek, prayed the SC to “set aside its Sept 15 verdict.”
He argued that he was not a party to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman's constitutional petition challenging amendments to the NAB law, but stands aggrieved by the verdict - referring particularly to the minimum pecuniary threshold of NAB which parliament set at Rs500 million.
The petitioner submitted that an accountability court sent a reference against him to anti-corruption court after NAB law amendment.
