Apex court approves petition seeking its employees' details

Petition is filed under the Right of Access to Information Act
(Dunya News) – The Supreme Court has accepted a petition filed under the Right of Access to Information Act seeking details of its employees.
The apex court directed the Registrar office to provide details of the Supreme Court employees to the petitioner within seven days.
Access to information is a right of citizens of Pakistan, however, the act does not apply to the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The court decision also reads that the petitioner must give reasons of seeking the information. The fee submitted by the petitioner for intra-court appeal and appeal to the apex court be returned to him, the court directed adding the decision should also be issued in Urdu language. The information material provider is also bound to evaluate the reasons.
