Fire brigade and rescue teams brought the fire under control after a hectic effort of two hours.

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Most parts of Faisalabad and adjoining areas plunged into darkness when fire erupted at a 220KV grid station located at Jaranwala Road on Sunday night, Dunya News reported.

The fire damaged control panel of the grid station due to which power supply to ten 132KV grid stations of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) was disrupted, plunging most parts of the city into darkness.

Five fire brigade and rescue team vehicles reached the spot and brought the fire under control after a hectic effort of two hours. According to FESCO officials, power is being restored through alternative sources at the affected grid stations.
