SC rejects govt's LPG petition

The Supreme Court has rejected the petition seeking the suspension of stay order on LPG policy.

The federal government has challenged the stay order in the Supreme Court.A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case.Additional Attorney General KK Agha, counsel for the government informed the court if the stay order issued by the Lahore High Court would not be suspended till November 22 people would have to face severe crisis.The court rejected the petition, with the remarks that the SC can’t interfere as the case is prejudice in the LHC.
