No meeting has been held in Dubai, claims Faisal Karim Kundi
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Monday made it clear that no name had been finalised yet for the caretaker prime minister.
Addressing a press conference, PPP bigwig Sherry Rehman, flanked by Faisal Karim Kundi, asserted: "No decision has yet been made about the choice of the caretaker prime minister. How can the name of the interim prime minister be decided without consulting the PPP?"
"Equal opportunity for the general elections is something that everyone wants to see. The masses are currently dealing with crippling inflation. Everyone is aware of the economic difficulties the country is facing," she maintained.

Meanwhile, Kundi claimed: "No meeting has been held in Dubai." The only demand made by the PPP was that elections be held in accordance with the law and the constitution, he added.
"Election preparations are complete for the PPP. We want the elections in the country soon," Kundi added.
Earlier, it was reported that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) nominated Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar as the caretaker prime minister.
They said the party was taking the PPP and other coalition partners into confidence over Dar’s nomination.
“There is a possibility of a consensus on Dar’s nomination in the meetings of the top leadership of the PPP and the PML-N as the advisory committees of the both sides are expected to meet soon,” said sources.
They further said the federal cabinet would be taken into confidence on the interim setup.
