Lahore UBAS becomes the 4th university under the umbrella of Punjab Group

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Lahore Medical and Dental College (LMDC) has been awarded the university charter, marking a significant milestone in its journey. 

The college which has now become the Lahore University of Biological & Applied Sciences (Lahore UBAS) will continue to be a hub of academic excellence and innovation in the field of health and applied sciences.

It will have a comprehensive range of six faculties while also offering 18 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Lahore UBAS becomes the 4th university under the umbrella of Punjab Group, the largest education network of Pakistan. 

Stepping into the future, an on-campus 600-bed teaching hospital is also under construction, which spreads over 700,000 square feet.

However, for MBBS and BDS, the UHS will remain admitting university and the LMDC will remain admitting college.

The LMDC is the first private sector medical college to have been set up in Punjab in 1997.

The LMDC acquisition by the Punjab Group of Colleges is a milestone. Punjab Group of Colleges is the country's biggest educational network.

The LMDC has joined three chartered universities - University of Central Punjab, Capital University of Science and Technology and Muhammad Ali Jinnah University - in the journey of success.
