Lahore ATC rejects Khadijah Shah's bail plea in Askari Tower attack case

The fashion designer was arrested after May 9 violence

LAHORE (Dunya News) – An anti-terrorism court in the Punjab capital on Thursday rejected a bail plea filed by fashion designer Khadijah Shah in the Askari Tower attack case.

ATC Judge Ejaz Ahmed Buttar issued the decision reserved a day earlier after Ms filed the post-arrest bail petition.

Her lawyer had argued that his client was not involved in the attack and requested the court grant her bail in the case.

Earlier this week, Shah on Monday was sent to jail on judicial remand by the anti-terrorism court of Lahore.

Gulberg police station had registered a case in arson and vandalism on a plaza in Gulberg, Lahore. As against the claim of the prosecution, the suspects held that they were wrongly implicated in the case and that they may be released on bail.
