ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Advisor to the prime minister on Kashmir Affairs, Qamar Zaman Kaira, accused former Prime Minister Imran Khan of weakening democracy during a National Assembly session on Thursday.

Mr Kaira's statement came in response to the ongoing debate surrounding the implementation of court decisions regarding the Punjab elections.

According to the PPP leader, the court created a crisis and was involved in dividing the nation.

He further criticized the judiciary, saying that they should not only give orders but also suggest ways to run the country.

Mr Kaira also highlighted the demand for a full court bench to hear the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa election case, which was not paid heed to by the court.

Furthermore, He pointed out the controversial decisions made by the court in the past, including the judicial murder of former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.

He stated that such decisions led to the suffering of the nation.
