Yasmin accuses Punjab police of involvement in state terrorism
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Dr Yasmin Rashid claimed on Thursday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif was given relief with the judicial reforms.
In connection with the release of the PTI workers, the party’s legal committee held a meeting flanked by Ms Rashid, Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed, among others. The meeting briefed on the details regarding the release of the PTI workers and all other cases.
Ms Rashid claimed the police had not stopped arresting the PTI workers, adding that the Punjab police were persistently involved in state terrorism. She put forward the demand of releasing the PTI workers on immediate basis.
Slamming her political opponents, Ms Rashid went on to say the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) had started to attack the Supreme Court.
On this occasion, Mr Rasheed said his party strongly condemns the arrest of the PTI workers, adding that the government had feared after seeing the PTI’s power show at Minar-e-Pakistan.
