Two more Pakistani ships reach Syria with relief goods for quake-stricken

Pakistan’s Ambassador said that two more aid ships would arrive soon.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – A Pakistani ships carrying 200 tons of relief goods and medical supplies for earthquake hit people has reached Syria’s Lattakia port, local media reported.

“The arrival of the second aid ship within ten days affirms the great attention paid by Pakistan that has always been standing by Syria.” Pakistan’s Ambassador in Damascus Shahid Akhtar said in a statement to SANA news agency.

Akhtar said that the ship also carried electric generators for schools, medical and other aid centers.

He stated that two more aid ships would arrive soon, in parallel with the arrival of food and humanitarian items via the Pakistani airlines.

Lattakia Governor Taiseer Habib hailed the Pakistani government and its key role in offering support to the quake-affected people, through sending rescue teams along with sending the aid via Syrian airlines.
