No question of staying indoors despite threats, says Imran Khan

Pakistan

The second biggest threat is from growing extremism.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan says if early elections will not be held, Pakistan s economy will suffer bankruptcy like Sri Lanka.

While giving an interview to BBC, former prime minister Imran Khan said his life was in danger but there was no question of sitting in hiding. "It is the year of elections. We will conduct election campaign and come out on the streets with the public in any case. We have also decided to install screens at public rallies,” he added.

The PTI chairman said the government and its allies wanted to disqualify me somehow and opponents were using all their strength to disqualify me but there is no such case where they can disqualify me. He further said there was so much political instability at the moment that economic stability had become impossible, while the second biggest threat was from growing extremism. “Economic stability in Pakistan is only possible through fair and transparent elections,” he added.
