No provision for technocratic set up in constitution, says Ali Zaidi
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi president Ali Zaidi said on Thursday calling fresh elections was the only solution to country s ills as there was no provision of technocratic set-up in the Constitution of Pakistan.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “A lot of rubbish talk of a technocratic set up [is going on in power corridors but there is] no provision in the constitution [regarding the set up], [there is] no guarantee that the next govt will follow policies, [and] no investor will come knowing the caretaker has limited life." "[Hence the] way forward is election and transfer of power to a government with a five-year mandate", he added.
