Rain expected in several areas of Pakistan

LAHORE (Web Desk) – The meteorological department predicts rain and snowfall in several upper plains of Pakistan. 

According to the department, after a long dry season, winds from the West entered Balochistan, which will affect the upper plains of the country from Dec 27 to 29. Rainfall is predicted in Quetta, Zhob, Barkhan, Ziarat, Nokundi, Dalbandin, Sibbi, Naseerabad and Lasbela, and snowfall in mountainous regions from Tuesday night to Wednesday evening. 

Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Mardan and Peshawar besides Islamabad, Murree, Galya, and Potohar region are expected to receive light to moderate rains and snow falling. The office further updated that Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and Bhakkar might receive light rain as well. 

The weather department said the rains might also lessen the intensity of fog, and the temperature might drop by five to seven degrees Celsius.
