Nawaz Sharif asks Govt to fix petrol price at Rs 190 per litre

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has asked the PML-N-led coalition government to fix petrol price at Rs 190 per litre, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.

According to party sources, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, who is in self-imposed exile in London, has given instructions to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar to reduce the prices of electricity and petrol before his return to Pakistan.

Sources said that Nawaz Sharif has expressed his desire to provide free electricity to domestic consumers using up to 300 units per month and bring the petrol price down to Rs 190 per litre to provide relief to the masses.

Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has started working on the relief package of electricity and petrol.

It is pertinent to mention here that PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif is likely to return to Pakistan in the second week of January. Before returning, Nawaz Sharif wants to give a relief package to the people.
