'No trust in Imran Khan': Rana Tanvir supports unconditional talks with PTI
SHEIKHUPUIRA (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and federal minister Rana Tanvir Hussain on Sunday said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) was ready to hold unconditional talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Hitting at the steadfastness of PTI chief Imran Khan, he added that Mr Khan was habitual of taking U-turns which made him an untrustworthy leader.
Countering the demand for general elections in the country, he said that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif had advised Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to consult with the PDM adding that the country was not in a position to hold general elections earlier.
Speaking to the media about Mr Imran’s call for dissolution of assemblies, he said that Mr Khan could fulfill his wish of pushing elections in Punjab and Khyber PakhtunKhwa adding that we [PDM] would not be blackmailed by his [Mr Imran’s] calls.
Criticizing the PTI chief, federal minister said that the former prime minister did not focus on education during his four years’ tenure promising that his [Mr Tanvir’s] government was doing everything possible to reform education in the country.
