The Libyan embassy in Pakistan has raised the rebel flag, in an apparent sign it has shed its allegiance to the fugitive Moamer Kadhafi, witnesses said. The flag with red, black and green stripes and a white crescent and star fluttered at the embassy building in Islamabads upmarket F-10 sector. No officials at the embassy were immediately available for comment.Pakistans foreign office was also unaware of the change. We have not received any official intimation to this effect, foreign ministry spokeswoman Tehmina Janjua said, when asked whether Pakistans government was aware of a change of loyalties at the mission.Several Libyan embassies around the world have flown the rebel flag since fighters opposing Kadhafis regime entered the capital, Tripoli, on August 21. The rebels said two days later they controlled 90 to 95 percent of the country. But 69-year-old Kadhafi, who ruled the oil-rich North African country with an iron fist for 42 years, remains at large.
