Earlier the Lahore High Court had given a deadline of ten o’clock to recover
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Inspector General (IG) Punjab on Sunday has said that the teenage girl abducted on Saturday from Shadbagh area of Lahore has been rescued from Sahiwal while Chief Justice Lahore High Court has disposed of the abduction notice, Dunya News reported.
It is pretinent to mention here that earlier the Lahore High Court had given a deadline of ten o’clock for recovery.
“The girl has been recovered. I have spoken to her,” Additional Advocate-General (AAG) Punjab Jawad Yaqub informed LHC CJ when the hearing resumed at 10:30pm.
Upon hearing this, Justice Bhatti asked the father of the girl whether he had spoken to his daughter. He replied in the affirmative.
The Chief Justice of Lahore High Court remarked that the steps taken by IG Punjab and CCPO are commendable. It is a matter of one girl but also of the whole family and he wrapping up this suo motu notice.
