Conspiracy being hatched behind closed doors to take my life, says Imran Khan

SIALKOT (Dunya News) – Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said on Saturday that conspiracy against him being hatched behind closed doors inside and outside the country.  

Addressing a rally in Sialkot on Saturday, he said conspiracy is being hatched behind closed door to take my life… I have recorded a video and kept it in a safe place… I have named all those elements involved in the conspiracy in the video. He said that we will not bow down before any man or superpower.

The former PM further added that if something happened to him he wanted the Pakistanis to know who was involved inside and outside the country.

Nawaz Sharif a coward

Taking a dig at former prime minister, Imran Khan said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and his party is coward, adding that he did not do a single thing honestly and will not even contest election honestly.

The PTI chairman went on to say that the PML-N supremo fled the country during former president Pervez Musharraf’s tenure by speaking lie, adding that all his diseases disappeared after reaching London. “Nawaz Sharif conspired against Pakistan in London.”

Hitting out at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, he said that the "Cherry Blossom" says we are beggars, adding that they pushed the country under pile of debt by plundering national exchequer.

‘Khawaja Ventilator’

Declaring PML-N leader Khawaja Asif ‘Khawaja Ventilator’, Imran Khan maintained that you [Khawaja Asif] have put the country on ventilator and PTI only ruled the country for three years but you have plundered the country.

“To this day, no one in the history of the world has been able to stop the revolution, this is not politics but revolution and neither Nawaz Sharif, nor Shehbaz Sharif or his son can stop it,” Khan said and added no world power can stop this revolution.

He also warned the government of dire consequences if it attempted to stop the peaceful protesters and spread chaos upon reaching Islamabad and said that it [imported govt]will not find a way to hide anywhere in Pakistan.

He added that those who were in charge of the accountability process did not consider corruption a bad practice and allowed the powerful to dodge accountability.

Khan questions Judiciary

Questioning the judiciary’s role, he asked: "Why don’t you take action despite witnessing the destruction of the country and national institutions?" “If you don’t want to punish the powerful, then free all smaller criminals who are currently behind bars,” Khan demanded.

The PTI chairman told the judiciary that the institutions were being “destroyed” in front of their eyes, and if the condition of the institutions deteriorates, then the country cannot survive.

Exports

The PTI chief claimed that the country achieved the highest industrial progress during his rule, with the crowd cheering to endorse his views. “Pakistan had its industries, crops, and exports all grew to new highs while unemployment dropped, during my government,” he maintained. 

He said that after 2004, there was the highest industrial production in our era, adding that the country’s exports increased by 29 percent in our government, while farmers got the most money in our government.

Khan also said now when the “looters” were at the helm, inflation has skyrocketed and stock markets are crashing.
